Operations Manager (COO)
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Pasos al Exito (PAE) is responsible for overseeing the daily administrative and operational functions of the company. Reporting to the CEO/EVP, the COO analyzes and evaluates operational processes to optimize efficiency and productivity, addresses operational challenges and implements solutions, translates the company’s strategic vision into actionable operational plans and ensures their execution.
The COO ensures the company’s functionality to drive broad and sustainable growth and oversees the areas of human resources, finance, technology, area management, teams and inventories, structural growth, and performance of operational budgets, quality and KPI compliance, crisis management, organizational structure and culture.

Position Details
Essential Tasks
- Ensure the creation of policies and processes, playbooks and that process owners execute them.
- Identify inefficiencies and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
- Create organizational chart, critical tasks and set up daily KPI data for optimal business operation and measure daily.
- Create quality control systems and ensure compliance.
- Drive performance and reduce costs (pricing).
Responsibilities
- Oversee the smooth and efficient functioning of the company’s daily activities across all areas, thus evaluating operational processes to optimize efficiency and productivity, resolve obstacles, and ensure alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Align the finance area with institutional strategy around budgets, forecasts and financial plans in collaboration with the CFO. Ensure the company operates within its financial means while maximizing profitability (pricing).
- Align the human resources area with institutional strategy, contribute to the development of training/development programs, onboarding, and foster engagement to build a motivated and solid workforce.
- Align the IT area with institutional strategy around technological support for business operations and the company.
- Work together with other departments, such as marketing and sales, to create consistent and personalized customer experiences.
- Provide regular updates to the CEO and EVP on operational performance and strategic initiatives.
- Live the PAE mission, vision, and values and promote them.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as Operations Manager or in a relevant role
- Understanding of business functions such as human resources, finance, marketing, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or relevant field; a Master’s/MBA is an advantage
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operational metrics
- Aptitude for decision-making and problem-solving
- Leadership skills and strategic thinking
- Demonstrable competence in strategic planning and business development with a vision to identify growth opportunities
- Ability to oversee operations and provide guidance to the organization’s various departments using leadership skills
